Jakarta, Hasanah.id – Peneliti media dan politik Buni Yani menilai pemberian gelar adat kepada Presiden ke-7 RI Joko Widodo berisiko merusak dan mengaburkan nilai budaya lokal.
Dalam wawancara pada Senin, 3 Agustus 2026, Buni Yani menyampaikan kekhawatirannya terkait praktik tersebut.
Buni Yani menegaskan bahwa pola pemberian gelar adat yang terjadi akhir-akhir ini perlu dikaji ulang agar tidak menjadi alat politik yang menyingkirkan akar tradisi.
Menurutnya, pemberian gelar adat di Lampung telah memicu kontroversi karena prosedur dan pemaknaan gelar dianggap bertentangan dengan tradisi setempat.
Dia juga menyebut proses di Nusa Tenggara Timur menimbulkan tanda tanya besar mengenai keaslian upacara dan motif di baliknya.
Pada 1 Agustus 2026, Jokowi menerima gelar Sesepuh Raja-Raja Timor setelah dinobatkan oleh delapan raja dari wilayah kerajaan di Pulau Timor.
Acara penobatan berlangsung berbarengan dengan Karnaval Gajah di Pantai Lahi Lai Besi Kopan (LLBK), Kota Kupang.
Raja Amanatun, Jonathan Banunaek, menyatakan penobatan dilakukan secara langsung oleh delapan raja yang memiliki klaim atas wilayah kerajaan tersebut.
Buni Yani memperingatkan bahwa tanpa mekanisme yang transparan, pemberian gelar adat bisa menimbulkan masalah hukum dan sosial di masa depan.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
